Activities in the culford area

Tucked away on a working farm, you will share your space with Charolais cattle, horses and sheep grazing in the meadows. It was once home to one of the most powerful monasteries in medieval Europe and today boasts the only cathedral in Suffolk.

This along with its elegant Georgian squares and Abbey gardens make it a most charming town. The Dairy is ideally situated for exploring this fabulous region. Take a trip to Culford, a little hamlet less than 3 miles from historic Bury St Edmunds’ Theatre Royal, Abbey and Priory Gardens. Thetford Forest, NT Long Melford Hall and Lavenham Guildhall, Newmarket Races and the city of Cambridge are all within 30 minutes’ drive.
