What To Expect

Amrosa is a large cottage on the edge of the North York Moors and just 3 miles from the fishing village of Staithes. The holiday home boasts a 7-person hot tub with a view across gently rolling countryside.

The whole house is luxuriously equipped with every detail taken care of. The 4 bedrooms offer plenty of space for 8 people and the living-dining room is large and comfortable – a real home from home.Whitby can be reached in around 20 minutes. This popular seaside town has lots going on with family activities, museums, great places to eat and a choice of shops. Down on the beach, fossil hunting will keep old and young enthralled for hours.

You could sit and look out across the countryside for hours. The kitchen is fully equipped with every home comfort available making mealtime preparation a synch.

This property does welcome pets. You can take 2 dogs on holiday so you can all enjoy your time away together.

The North York Moors offers plenty of space to walk – your pooch and you can wander for miles. Staithes beach is dog friendly and permits pooches all year round.

Activities in the staithes area

Staithes is a fishing village on the Yorkshire coast that offers peace and tranquillity. There’s a harbour and a beach where it’s fun to go fossil hunting. A few local shops, a seaside pub and a coffee shop can be found in the town. 

For walking, there’s a 4-mile route here that takes you to the pretty village of Runswick Bay.

Whitby is a little further along the coast with historical buildings, museums, restaurants and plenty of activities. You can book a Captain Hook boat cruise, go pony trekking, do some shopping and visit art galleries.

At Whitby Abbey, made famous by author Bram Stoker, there are events and festivals all year round to enjoy. The North York Moors National Park is the place to hike and spot wildlife.

You can walk for miles with the family and the dog here, or board the steam train and see the glorious landscape from the train windows.

Amrosa is the ideal holiday cottage for a large family gathering or a weekend break with friends. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The kitchen has been thoughtfully kitted out with a quality range of appliances and a smart breakfast bar.Nearby there is a wide choice of things to do. Hiking on the wild North York Moors, or walking along the coastal paths will blow the cobwebs away. Go into Whitby or visit Robins Hood Bay for a long list of family activities. The city of York can be reached in around an hour for a cultural day out. There’s a river, city wall, cathedral, art galleries and a theatre here. And of course, it’s the perfect place to eat a traditional Yorkshire pudding.

A 4-bedroom cottage that sleeps 8 people, there are 2 king-size rooms and 2 twin rooms. Three of the bedrooms have en-suites, and one has a roll top bath. On the ground floor there's a living-dining room with a wood burner, 49-inch TV, Blu-ray player and bi-folding doors.

In the kitchen area there's a breakfast bar, American fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The large garden has a decked area with a 7-person hot tub, barbecue and patio furniture.
