Take a leisurely stroll down to the water front where you can watch the boats and the breath-taking sunsets over the Menai Straights.

Walk along the Anglesey Coastal Path, which offers some great photo opportunities and is popular with birdwatchers or visit some of the historic locations that Anglesey boast including the impressive Beaumaris Castle.

The Menai Straits separate Anglesey from the Welsh mainland. The shallow tidal waters are crossed by two bridges, allowing easy access between the island and the mainland.

The castle and pier at Beaumaris are a great family day out, or why not take a boat trip out to Puffin Island. Kids will love Pili Palas Nature World and Foel Farm Park, if you have brought your four-legged friend along a walk in the magical Plas Cadnant’s Hidden Garden will have his senses working overtime and tail wagging.

The Anglesey Coastal Path offers walkers breath-taking scenery, and the island is home to many fine beaches along its 125-mile coastline. Check out Holyhead Maritime Museum and the South Stack Lighthouse.

On the mainland the majestic mountains and lakes of Snowdonia are within easy reach by car, with an abundance of outdoor activities on offer and jaw dropping vistas
