Cairn Valley Lodge

This exceptional lodge sleeps up to 4 people in 2 tastefully decorated bedrooms, the master suite has a stylish en-suite and flat screen TV. There is also a contemporary bathroom and separate shower. The open-plan living area has plenty of room for cosy family nights in and the spiral staircase provides a quirky feature.

A modern well-equipped kitchen has everything a cook could wish for and if you don’t want to spend your time cooking there are several excellent restaurants, serving delicious food a short drive away.

The outside space is where this deluxe lodge really comes into its own, the secluded hot tub is ideal for letting your cares drift away. Just imagine sinking beneath the warm bubbles with your loved one glass of bubbly in hand taking in the outstanding scenery. Sheer Bliss!

Activities in the Dumfries area

Whatever the time of year Dumfries and Galloway is a beautiful place for a short break. Perfect for those looking to escape the stresses of city-life, there is something for all ages to enjoy


Scotland may not be the first place you think of when imagining beautiful beaches, but you could be surprised, secluded coves, pretty harbour towns and long stretches of golden sands can all be found in this unspoiled county, and the good news is; for those who have brought Fido along, most are dog-friendly.

Dumfries boasts an impressive number of castles with no less than 13 within driving distance. One of the best is Caevorlock Castle (castle of the lark) this unique medieval fortress is renowned for its moat and triangular shape, another dog-friendly attraction it is also home to a huge nature reserve ideal for wildlife lovers and photographers.

Travelling with children? A must-visit is the Cocoa Bean Company, where they can make a decorate any number of treats to take home or enjoy both the indoor and outdoor play areas before having a delicious meal in the Cocoabean Café.
