There is plenty of room for up to 10 people at Balnacraig. With 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a modern open-plan living area, the interior of this cottage is luxurious and comfortable.

But walk outside and you’ll find what makes this property really special – there’s a wide sun deck fitted with a hot tub, and amazing views over the waters of Moray Firth. It’s the ideal spot to sit, relax and take in the landscape.

Set in a wooded area, there are nature trails behind the cottage for long walks in the forest. But if you want more to discover, then the city of Inverness is 3 miles away, and it’s just over a mile to the coast and North Kessock seaside village.

With unspoilt woodlands around part of the house, there are views over the Moray Firth waters from the living area and deck. With plenty of living space, it’s an ideal holiday home.

Pet Friendly

The area of Craigton and Inverness offers lots of great walking space for dogs and their owners. Unfortunately, Balnacraig is not a pet-friendly accommodation. There are plenty of cottages and lodges nearby where your family dog would be welcomed with open arms, so have a browse through the availability.

About The Cottage

A 5-bedroom detached house sleeping up to 10 people. On the ground floor, the open-plan living room has a 49” Smart TV, dining table and chairs, and a double oven, microwave, washing machine and dryer in the kitchen area.

A twin bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room is also downstairs. Upstairs there are 3 king-size bedrooms and 1 twin room & 3 rooms have en-suites. The hot tub is outside.

Activities In The Inverness Area

The cosmopolitan city of Inverness is lively and compact, and it’s surrounded by spectacular countryside, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. 

Inverness sits on the banks of the River Ness. It’s home to an impressive red stone castle – it’s not open to the public but you can go up to the Viewpoint and get a bird’s eye view of the city. There are a few museums to visit, including the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.

The Scottish Kiltmaker is a large shop where you can purchase all things tartan, and learn a little about the fabric too. Eastgate Shopping Centre offers a mix of stores, and there is an incredible choice of places to eat and drink in Inverness. To the south of the city is Loch Ness, a stretch of fresh water that is more than 20 miles long. You can search for the famous monster as you walk along the edge.North Kessock offers an unspoilt seaside town with white cottages and a pretty tea room. A little further along the coast and you can go book a boat trip, and usually spot dolphins playing in the water.

The natural landscape of the Highlands can be explored from Balnacraig holiday cottage. With Inverness just a few miles away, the hustle and bustle of city life is within easy reach.

But if you want to get away from it all, then settle on the decking and enjoy the long views across the Moray Firth. You can take drives along the quiet coast and stop off at traditional villages, or hike on the hills around Loch Ness.
