The lodge has a big, roomy plan living area complete with kitchen, breakfast bar and dining table with seats for 6. 

Upstairs bedroom has seating area for superb views. Space for three couples, or groups of friends. Adults and kids over 11 only. No pets, stags or hens either. A lodge for people with taste.

Activities in the Sandiway area

The Green House is perfectly set up for an adult friendly holiday, with three big double bedrooms, and a huge open plan living space for people to cook, eat and relax.

The lodge is located next to the Cheshire villages of Sandiway and Cuddington, which cover quite a large area and boast 2 pubs, a restaurant, post office, local supermarket and filling station. This makes the location perfect as a base, whether you want to cook and entertain in the lodge or head out for the evening.

Cuddington also has its own railway station, which is handy for travelling the two stops to nearby Northwich. This fabulous market town is perfect for a day trip, with its Tudor housed streets and scores of historical landmarks. The town was a famous centre for salt mining, and there are many sites associated with this. Northwich also has three weekly markets, and a monthly farmers market, so you’re sure to find some tasty food and drink to keep you going.

Just outside of Northwich town centre is the Anderton Nature Park. This area was regenerated from a former industrial wasteland, and is now home to some fabulous nature walks, wildlife and woodland. The park sits astride the River Weaver, which hosts a rather special tourist attraction in the Anderton Boat Lift. This is a working machine which literally lifts canal boats between the river and the Trent and Mersey Canal. This unique piece of industrial heritage is well worth waiting for, and the Park has places to eat, drink and relax while you do.

The City of Chester lies to the west of the lodge, and has more than enough sights, shops and places of refreshment to spend a very pleasurable day out. Further west again lies the North Wales coast, only about a half hour’s drive from Sandiway. The famous seaside towns of Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno all await, with their sandy beaches, walks, shops, pubs and restaurants.

A Final Note

The Green House is both a perfect holiday destination in itself, and an excellent base to explore the attractions on your doorstep. The luxury accommodation at the lodge is perfect for couples wanting to relax, with its easy going feel and wood burner to enjoy. Just a couple of minutes away, Sandiway and Cuddington is a lovely Cheshire village cum small town, which will add to the feeling of relaxed well being while you’re there. It also has plenty of shops and watering holes of its own if you don’t want to stray too far.

Nearby Northwich is a beautiful, historic market town well worth a day trip, and historic Chester is only slightly further away. The Cheshire countryside is perfect for exploring on foot, as are the beaches in nearby North Wales. All in all, there is plenty to do in the days and evenings. When you’ve had enough, come home and relax in a hot tub in this lovely holiday lodge.
