Located on a working farm with open fields at the back, Tokenhill Cottage has a truly blissful setting. Inside the décor is homely and modern, and outside there is a hot tub with countryside views in an enclosed back garden. There are 3 bedrooms and a couple of bathrooms to ensure your stay is comfortable. And the well-equipped kitchen-living area is ideal for home-cooked breakfasts and quiet evenings relaxing.

Dorchester can be reached in around 15 minutes for museums, shops and a choice of places to eat. For sandy beaches, fossil hunting and ice-cream parlours, head to Weymouth, Lyme Regis or Poole – they are all approximately 30 miles distant.

The kitchen-diner comes with a dishwasher, washing machine and lovely bi-folding doors that open up onto a patio area with a hot tub and a view over open fields.

There is plenty of space inside and the open-plan living area offers you all the comforts of home. The TV area is stylish and very comfortable and gives you a couple of sofas, a TV and a DVD player.

Activities In The Dorchester Area

The Dorset countryside is a beautiful part of England with walking routes, quaint villages and the Jurassic coast to explore. Dorchester, Weymouth, Poole and Lyme Regis are within reach of Tokenhill Cottage offering a choice of things to do.

Dorchester is the county town of Dorset and is the place to head for local-interest museums, a Roman Town House and an amphitheatre. There are lots of shops in this lively town, plus a square with restaurants and coffee shops. The village of Tolpuddle is famous for 6 farmworkers who changed the history of trade unions.

There’s a museum and a monument dedicated to them a few miles outside of Dorchester. For a trip to the seaside, Weymouth offers a 3-mile sandy bay that is lifeguarded in the summer months, plus a promenade, and a pleasure pier. Families enjoy the Sealife Centre, boat trips, a waterpark and play areas.

The pretty seaside resort of Lyme Regis is a little further along the Dorset coast as well. Here you can go fossil hunting on the beach and visit a museum where visitors learn about the geographical treasure discovered on the shores.

There is a lot to see in Dorset. Inland the countryside is pretty and easy to cross on foot. Villages that are scattered around the area are welcoming and have interesting tales to tell, such as the Tolpuddle Martyrs who stood up for what they believed in back in 1834. The coast is varied and has lively seaside resorts such as Bournemouth and Weymouth, or quieter areas like Worbarrow Beach where few people stop.

For something entirely different you can even take a donkey for a walk near Beamish. Tokenhill Cottage is the ideal accommodation to base yourself so you can reach all these exciting places with ease. The cottage is comfortable and well- fitted with furnishings that blends well with its farm setting.
