What To Expect

Notter Mill is a peaceful park set within an area of outstanding beauty next to the River Lynher near Saltash in Cornwall. It has been given a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award in recognition of the excellent birdlife and wildflower habitat.

Located 3 miles from Saltash town – the gateway between Devon and Cornwall – you can explore the wonders of both counties. Each cottage is cosy and fully fitted with all the comforts of home. The Tan Harvey and Cornish Pines homes come with private hot tubs and a small patio area.

The hot tubs have been set under a wooden gazebo so they are nice and secluded. Garden furniture sits alongside so you can enjoy the quiet patio area.

There are two types of cottage at Notter Mill. They both have two bedrooms and a sofa-bed in the lounge.

One cottage type sleeps 6 people and the other sleeps 7. The Tan Harvey Cottages are the superior range and include a dishwasher in the kitchen.

Pet Friendly

DOGS ARE WELCOME

Notter Mill welcomes pets to the park, and dogs are allowed to run off the lead in the nature conservation area on site. However, you cannot book a stay in a cottage with your four-legged friend. Please look at the dog-friendly properties available at the park.

Cornish Pine

This homely cottage sleeps up to 7 people. Outside on the patio is a hot tub under a wooden gazebo. There's a double bedroom, a triple bedroom with bunk beds plus a single bed and a double sofa bed in the living room. There's an open fire in the lounge and the bathroom has a bath with a shower overhead. The kitchen-diner space comes equipped with a microwave, fridge, full oven and a table with chairs.

Tan Harvey Cottage

A Danish-style, superior cottage for up to 6 people, there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a double sofa-bed in the living area. The hot tub on the patio is sheltered under a wooden gazebo next to garden chairs. Little extras include a DVD player, dishwasher, freezer and iPod docking station. There's an open fire in the lounge area too.

Things To Do In The Saltash Area

With two counties on the doorstep, there is a lot to see and do in the area around Notters Mill Park.

Saltash is on the Tamar River which is crossed via the Royal Albert Bridge built in Victorian times by Brunel. You can take a canoe out on the river, or simply stroll along the banks. Located three miles from the park, it’s a handy town for groceries, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and cafes. Plymouth is 10 miles away if you want a lively high street, theatre, museums and a lovely Marine Aquarium.For beaches, head south to the coves of Whitsand Bay. There are a number of beaches to discover, some with cafes and toilets so you can spend the whole day on the sands. Portwinkle beach, one of the nearest, is 9 miles from the park and a favourite with families. A little further south and you will reach Cawsand Beach on the Heritage Coast. You can rent stand-up paddleboards here for the day. 

A Final Note

South-east Cornwall offers a peaceful holiday location with sandy beaches, rolling countryside and traditional eateries. If you enjoy long walks or hiking, then there's no better place than the Tamar Valley, carved by the River Tamar that forms the natural border between Cornwall and Devon.Notter Mill is a secluded park close to all the natural wonders in the area. With its own outdoor pool and spacious areas to run and play, it's a great place for a family holiday. With a hot tub out on the patio too, a stay here will relax you from head to toe.
