What To Expect

The Stables is one of two barn conversion cottages in the beautiful Forest of Dean area. The holiday home is cosy and fitted with all the little things that make accommodation comfortable.

With a double bedroom, open-plan living area and a quiet patio area, it is the ideal place for a peaceful break away from home.

The Forest of Dean is an area of sprawling woodland and countryside, and there are lots of outdoor activities available close by. Book horse riding, climbing, kayaking and fishing if you like to stay busy.

The Stables is a sweet holiday cottage, perfect for two.

The shared hot tub is outside in a sheltered area that is nice and secluded. You can book sessions in the hot tub when you arrive so you get it all to yourself for a while. After long walks in the nearby forest, it’s the perfect end to the day.

Cosy, semi-detached barn conversion with one, first-floor double bedroom that sleeps 2 people. The ground floor is an open-plan living-kitchen area with Freeview TV, DVD player and sofa bed, washing machine, microwave and table with chairs. Outside is a patio area with garden furniture and use of the shared hot tub. Bike store and parking for one vehicle.

Activities In The Bream Area

With the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley on the doorstep, there are plenty of places nearby to walk and enjoy the glorious natural surroundings. 

The Stables holiday home is an enviable location in the Forest of Dean area. With woodland walks and an interesting sculpture trail to enjoy in the forest, you can spend your holiday getting closer to nature. Puzzlewood is an ancient woodland in the forest and a place like no other – perfect for photography enthusiasts. Clearwell Caves is an extensive system of mining caves, now open to visitors. There is a mining museum there too.

Around 10 miles from the cottage is Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley. It’s a popular tourist destination as the village straddles the River Wye and is very picturesque. Walking trails begin in the area taking you through some amazing scenery. There is also boat hire on the water here. Goodrich Castle, in Ross-on-Wye, is a Norman ruin that is a great place to visit. The city of Gloucester is 21 miles to the east. Here there is an 11th-Century cathedral, National Waterways Museum and plenty of shops to browse.

A Final Note

This cosy cottage is an ideal place for a romantic holiday. With a comfy lounge and a pretty courtyard area, you can relax in peace while you are here. They offer horse riding on site if you want to book a trek, and there is room to store your bike if you take yours along with you.

There's a pub and a shop within a mile so you don't have to travel far for the essentials. If you enjoy getting back to nature, then there is plenty to keep you happy nearby. The Forest of Dean has a sculpture trail, woodlands and open countryside to discover. And the River Wye gives you waterside paths and incredible scenery.
