What To Expect

One of two barn conversion cottages in the Forest of Dean, The Granary is just right for a holiday in this spectacular part of Gloucestershire. This holiday home is comfortable and the beams give it a cosy, characterful style.

There is a double bedroom and a twin room on the first floor, and an open-plan living area downstairs. With a large kitchen diner equipped with everything you need, self-catering is a joy when you stay here.

For a holiday enjoying The Forest of Dean and beautiful Wye Valley, then you couldn’t pick a better location. Within close proximity there are long walks through woodlands, boats to hire, kayaks to try and fishing to enjoy.

There is a shared hot tub outside in a secluded, sheltered area.

It is just the spot to relax in after long walks out in the Forest of Dean. You can book your sessions in the hot tub when you arrive so you can have time in the water by yourself if you want to.

The Granary is one of two semi-detached barn conversion cottages. There are two bedrooms upstairs, so there is plenty of space for a family or group of 4 people.

Downstairs the open-plan space features beams, tiled floors and French doors onto the patio. With a spacious, fully-fitted kitchen-diner, cooking up a tasty meal is a dream. 

Pet Friendly

Dogs are welcome to stay with you at the cottage. The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley are close by, offering a choice of long walks in the area for all of you to enjoy. We know that your four-legged friend is part of the family, and a holiday is more fun if they can come along too.

A semi-detached barn conversion with beams and 2 bedrooms – a double and a twin - sleeping 4 people. On the ground floor is an open-plan living area with Freeview TV, DVD player and French doors.

In the kitchen-diner is a washing machine, microwave and table with chairs. A patio area with garden furniture, a bike store and parking are outside. Use of a shared, outdoor hot tub.

Activities In The Bream Area

For nature lovers, the location doesn’t get any better than this. The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley are beautiful places to explore, and they are both right on the doorstep.

Woodland walks and nature trails are easy to find in the area. There is also a sculpture trail in The Forest of Dean that attracts thousands of visitors every year. The ancient wood called Puzzlewood is magical, and home to fairies it is believed. Families will enjoy a visit to this attraction. Also in the area is the Clearwell Caves. The natural caves were once mined, but now they are open to the public alongside a mining museum.

Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo is kept at a tropical temperature to keep the exotic butterflies content. It’s a great place to visit when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Symonds Yat is in the same area, a popular village that straddles the River Wye where boats are available to hire. There are walking trails that start here that visitors rate highly. With plenty of pubs and inns close to hand, you have a choice of places to enjoy lunch out.

To explore the natural surroundings of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, Granary Cottage is perfectly located. It offers peace and tranquillity within easy reach of glorious countryside. The city of Gloucester is only 21 miles away if you want a range of shops, museums, restaurants and cafes.

With such a wide choice of ways to pass the time, everyone in the family will be happy. And at the end of a long day out, relax in the hot tub and take things easy for a while.
