There are so many activities onsite that you may not want to leave this excellent holiday park. However, if you do want to have a day out there are some fabulous family attractions within easy reach.
Only a 10-minute drive away guests will find the charming village of Edwinstowe, with a history that stretches back over 1500 years. Home to all things Robin Hood there are legends that the local hero married his sweetheart Maid Marian there. Nowadays it is home to quirky local shops selling souvenirs, unique items, and fresh local produce.
There are so many hidden gems within Sherwood Forest, and one of the best is; the Arts and Craft Centre. Near to the famous Major Oak, visitors can watch local artists and craftspeople at work and purchase the unique pieces. Housed in what used to be Edwinstowe Hall, there are several craft studios creating textiles, jewellery, paintings, pottery and much more.
Away from the forest itself, you will be spoiled for choice. A trip to Nottingham is a must, during the summer it boasts the Riviera when part of the city centre is turned into a beach, the castle is also worth a visit as is the labyrinth of underground caves in the city centre.
The wide range of activities and world-class attractions like Alton Towers, Drayton Manor and Wollaton Hall within easy reach are certainly part of the lure of this exclusive holiday park but the excellent accommodation, beautiful setting, and little luxurious touches are what have visitors returning year after year.
After all who could resist a relaxing massage in the comfort of your lodge followed by an evening spent stargazing beneath the bubbles of your own private hot tub with a glass of champagne and your loved one by your side.
