Carrick View Lodge 2 Spa

This 2-bedroom lodge has a secluded hot tub outside next to a set of garden furniture. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the 2nd bedroom is a twin. The modern living area is open plan and stylishly decorated with a fully fitted kitchen and dining space. Double doors lead out to the raised deck.

Activities Around Ayr

Ayrshire in south-west Scotland offers visitors a wide choice of things to do. The town of Ayr has a lovely seafront, a harbour, a range of shops and lovely places to eat. For something a little livelier, Glasgow can be reached in around 45 minutes.

The Heads Of Ayr Farm Park is a big hit with youngsters. More than 50 different animals can be seen at the park including meerkats, limas, camels and goats. With indoor and outdoor activities on offer, you can have a great time no matter what the weather brings.

Dunure is a delightful fishing village that’s a little hidden gem, there are also castle ruins to tour if you want to step back in time. Cuzean Castle is an 18th century house with splendid gardens, caves and a section of beach that is lovely to explore.

The whole area is perfect for walkers with hills and moorland that is ideal for long hikes in the fresh air. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is 100 miles long and you can take in part of it as it goes past the nearby coves and cliffs.

A Final Note

You can have the best of both worlds at Crofthead. Surrounded by open countryside, you could be in the middle of nowhere, but Ayr with a choice of restaurants and shops is only 2 miles distant.

Go for long walks with friends and family along the Ayrshire Coastal Path or pop into Glasgow for a tour of the museums and historical buildings. If you want a quiet few days chilling then simply stay at the lodge, settle back in the hot tub and enjoy a book and a glass of wine.
