Activities in and around Golden Sands Rhyl

The resort which has been keeping people happy for 85 years. It really is the ideal place to take the kids, even without the delights of the nearby golden beaches.

There’s a children’s play area and pool on site, as well as a full entertainment programme. In 2018, the resort opened its latest attraction, the Carousel Bar. This joins the Sandpiper Bar, restaurant, indoor pool, sports court, soft play area and adventure playground in keeping both adults and kids happy throughout the day and night. The Park also has its own cycle way and footpath leading down to a sandy beach next door. The holiday park is situated in Kinmel Bay, next the lovely seaside town of Rhyl, which lies to the east over the River Clwyd. Rhyl has a lovely long parade to walk along, past a cinema, fun centre and lots of shops, pubs and restaurants, all overlooking a mile long golden beach. There is also a superb miniature railway, which has a steam powered locomotive to take your party the mile around Marine Lake. There are also plenty of golf courses in and around Rhyl, if that’s your cup of tea. This part of North Wales is famous for its seaside towns, and Rhyl is joined by Prestatyn to the east, and Colwyn Bay and Llandudno to the west. Llandudno is famous for its 19th century pier, and the limestone headland of Great Orme. This has amazing sea views all around, a country park, ski centre and cable pulled tramway. There is also the Home Front Experience heritage museum, which recreates exactly what life was like for locals during World War II.Just past Colwyn Bay and Llandudno lies Snowdonia National Park, which covers much of north west Wales. The adventurous may want to try to ascend Mount Snowdon, while everyone else can enjoy the spectacular scenery and preserved villages which grace this fabulous piece of national heritage.

A Final Note

The holiday park is an ideal getaway for couples, friends and family. The resort itself has more than enough to keep everybody happy, as it has been doing for many years. Lovers of traditional seaside holidays will be in heaven here, while the natural beauty of the North Wales coast is a tonic in itself.

There are tons of shops, pubs and restaurants in nearby Rhyl and further along the coast, so you can keep everybody refreshed and stocked up during your stay. There are some world famous landmarks and unique visitor attractions, plus plenty of golf and other activities to keep you active. Nearby Snowdonia National Park should not be missed, whether you’re a hiker or nature lover.

At the end of the day, come home to the luxury of the GS Seabreeze 3 Lodge Deluxe, kick back and relax in the privacy of your own hot tub.
