The surrounding area is packed with things to do, whether you want to learn about local history, view the abundance of wildlife, or swing through the trees. All tastes and ages are catered for in this spectacular region.


Guests at this small, friendly park may wish to spend their days relaxing in the hot tub, perhaps a spot of fishing or a leisurely walk through the forest and who could blame them?

However, there are some must-see attractions nearby well worth a day trip including Alnwick Castle, where you can visit the Lost Cellars or indulge in some Broomstick Training. Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island, only accessible at low tide, a stunning place steeped in history 

Kids and adults alike will love the Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre and the Go Ape treetop adventure trails at Matfen Hall. 

There is some excellent fishing in the area along with several golf courses and for those in need of some retail therapy the Metro Centre in Gateshead is within driving distance with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars it is well worth the trip.
