What To Expect

The Hideaway at Broadstone Barns is a unique contemporary, chic open-plan single-storey terraced cottage. This one bedroom converted barn is special because it has huge bi-folding doors, which open the cottage up.

This gives you a constant panoramic view of the lush green meadows. Stunning furnishings and spacious bedroom with en suite consisting of a bath and walk in shower. The cherry on top is the beautiful patio and outdoor hot tub.

It will be difficult to leave your luxurious cottage. If you don’t you will be missing all Ticknall and surrounding areas has to offer.

Take a walk or just enjoy the tranquillity at Darley Park. It is also host to events throughout the year including the classical Darley Park Concert.

Beer lovers are fortunate to have 2 breweries nearby. So if you like your craft beer then be sure to visit The National Brewery Centre. Guided tours bring the story to life about the birthplace of British beer.

Sample some of the superb ales on offer. If that’s not enough then stop off at the Tollgate Brewery. Tucked away in the National Forest, on the National Trusts Calke Abbey Estate. Some of the finest ales are brewed in this microbrewery using traditional brewing techniques and equipment. There’s sure to be an ale to quench your thirst.

A trip to the East Midlands Aeropark is fascinating. The Aeropark is an aviation museum and a working airport where you can go in an international passenger and cargo airport.

For something more relaxing make a trip to Markeaton Park, Derby’s most visited park. It is also one of the most popular attractions in the East Midlands. Relax in this stunning surroundings. The origins of the park can be dated back to the medieval period.

Staunton Harold Reservoir offers a range of attractive walks and leisure activities. The stunning site is open every day from dusk until dawn. Pack your camera and a picnic basket for a fabulous day out.

If you are hungry after the touring and need to buy something to eat, then stop at the Scoff & Shop. Delightful home cooked meals. If you prefer something different then try the 50's American Diner. An authentic dinner that was brought to England as a museum piece in the 50’s. It was later transformed into a diner. Here you can have a traditional “Burger n Fries” without having to leave the country.
