Activities in The Fritton Area

Situated on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and on the edge of the Norfolk Broads National Park, guests are well placed to enjoy all that East Anglia has to offer. Places to visit on the Suffolk Heritage Coast include Lowestoft, Southwold and Aldeburgh and further inland you will find Norwich in Norfolk, or perhaps see the incredible landscape by boat. 

On site guests can make use of the facilities including the golf course, bar, restaurant, sauna and pool. If the activities at The 19th are not enough then take a trip into nearby Great Yarmouth. Wonderful pubs and eateries are only a few miles away. Art lovers can visit St George's Theatre. St George's Theatre Trust is a charity re-created in 2010 to operate St George's Theatre on behalf of Great Yarmouth Borough Council. Step back in time and visit Thurne Windmill, which was built in 1820.

The Great Yarmouth Market is a stunning large street market open Monday to Saturday with extra market day stalls on Wednesdays and Saturdays all year round. Locally produced fruit and veg, famous Yarmouth chips plus any other odds and ends for sale from friendly local traders. SEA LIFE Sanctuary, exhibits more than 2,000 marine species. The Tolhouse Museum was built about 800 years ago. 

Pop into the Colchester Zoo, which is constantly developing with over 270 species to see. Set in 60 acres of beautiful parkland and lakes, Colchester Zoo is well worth a visit. There is something for the whole family to satisfy everyone’s interests.
