The Accommodation

There are three bedrooms on the first and second floors, two are doubles and one a twin. There is also a study area under the eaves. One of the doubles has an en-suite shower room fitted with a toilet and sink. The family bathroom also has a shower.

Downstairs there's a spacious living room with a 50-inch TV and a DVD player. In the open-plan kitchen-diner there is a breakfast bar island, a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and microwave. The dining table has seating for six people.

In the back garden, reached via bi-folding doors in the living room, there is a large hot tub. A patio area has a garden table with six chairs. A barbecue is available to use too.

At the front of the cottage is a gravel parking area suitable for several cars.

Activities in the Beverly Area

The cottage is within an easy drive of Beverley - a pretty market town, and Hull a lively City of Culture. The Yorkshire coast is only 30 minute’s away too. 

Skidby, where Barn Owl Cottage is located, has a community pub, local café and convenience store. But the hidden gem of the area is Beverley; the place to head for more to see and do. The 13th-century Minster is a stunning, Gothic building that must be visited, and there's an art gallery for creative types.

Every Saturday, the large market sells everything from fruit to clothing, and Beverley has a race course with events from April to September. When it comes to eating out, there's a couple of gastro-pubs, a choice of cafes and a fine dining restaurant. Hornsea, on the coast, is 17 miles away. A pebble and sand beach, small museum and a choice of shops can be found here. The city of Hull is 6 miles to the south. Hull has a theatre, marina area, museums, shops, restaurants and bars. For the family, visit The Deep and see sharks, fish and other sea life in the aquarium. 

The historic town of Beverley is only 5 miles away and the coast isn’t far either - you can reach the seaside town of Hornsea in about 30 minutes. The Cultural City of Hull is a 6-mile drive away, so there is plenty for everyone to see and do in the area around Skidby.

A holiday staying in Barn Owl Cottage will be one to remember. The holiday cottage has everything you need for a great home-from-home trip, and the hot tub makes it extra special. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the accommodation, but also reach the cobbled streets of Beverley in no time. Head over to the East Riding coastline and walk for miles along the front to take in the sea air too. More and more people are discovering the sites of this lovely area.
