The village is also popular with tourists because of its abundance of outdoor activities, which include mountain biking, fishing, golf, walking, wildlife watching, and an excellent outdoor adventure centre. Further afield a trip to the home of cashmere, Hawick is well worth a visit as is the lovely town of Melrose.
